If you are looking for a taste of rural Italy as yet unspoiled by tourists then Borgodioria resort offers the ideal location from which to explore the Puglia region of Southern Italy.
Oria itself, between the provinces of Brindisi and Taranto along the ancient Appian way, is perched on a small fortified hilltop amidst a vast agricultural plain of olive trees and vineyards.
Oria is a medieval town with the impressive castle of Frederick II of Swabia, a charming historical centre and a Jewish ghetto. It's tangled labyrinth of quaint, narrow streets are littered with ancient churches and palaces from a bygone era.
Indeed, life in Oria's old town often leaves you feeling as though you have stepped back in time, such is it steeped in relics from it's historical past.
The comfortable suites of Borgodioria Resort, all in the medieval centre, have been completely restored to keep the original architecture of the 14th century apulian houses.
They are all equipped for self-catering with kitchen or kitchenette, all cooking facilities, air con, heating, lcd tv, satellite, dvd player, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer.
The suites can host up to 4 guests, have a bedroom or alcove with a king-size bed , a double sofà bed in the living room and a fully-equipped bathroom with shower.
